The picnic plan
Bunny bounced to the door with an empty yellow bag. Mama Bunny smiled and said, 'We are going to the pond for a picnic. Let's think about what we need first.'

Too many choices
Bunny found a scarf, a spoon, a kite, and a crunchy carrot. Blue Bird chirped from the fence, 'One thing helps us sit. One thing helps us eat. One thing helps us play.'

A windy surprise
At the pond, the breeze lifted the picnic blanket corner. Bunny held it down and giggled. 'I am glad we packed the blanket first,' Bunny said.

Snack and share
Bunny opened the bag and shared the carrot with Blue Bird. They sat close, watched the pond sparkle, and listened to the soft water sounds.

When it was time to go home, Bunny put the blanket back in the bag and said, 'Next time I know what to pack first.' Mama Bunny nodded. 'That is called planning.'
