Baby Monitors

New mothers sometimes feel as if they need eyes in the back of their head. Babies need constant watch and care. Baby monitors can be a big help, especially when you have a large home or if you have more than one child. Some baby monitors have only audio, but the latest have audio and video. You can even see your baby in a dark room while sleeping!

Baby monitors are high tech now and actually do more than blast the sound of a crying child into the next room. Some can sense movement, sound and even have video monitors for watching over your newborn. Some offer walkie talkie features that allow you to talk into the room the child is in. A four hundred foot range is great for a large home. Volume control is also another good option. A baby monitor with clear reception and a rechargeable receiver are other things that I would look for in a good monitor. Some monitors can alert you if no movement is felt, if baby were to stop breathing. Two channels would prevent interference. With a video monitor, one would have the option to hear and visualize the child. The camera can be placed near the crib or wall mounted in the play room. When the babysitter comes over and puts the child to bed, simply turn on the monitor and you can be updated with audio and visual on the infant. This is great for those with multi level homes.

Baby monitors provide safe ways to allow your children free time. Whether it is playing alone in the play room, or falling asleep by themselves, parents can keep up with the actions of the children, thereby keeping them safe. Millions of families use baby monitors to help keep track of their newborns.

•  Keep spare batteries on hand for use exclusively with your baby monitor.

•  Your baby monitor is not a toy, so keep it out of reach of your baby and siblings.

•  Charge your baby monitor while your baby is awake.
