Nursery Organization

Making sure that your baby's nursery is organized is very important. You will want to be sure that you have it organized before you bring your new baby home. There are so many organizational products and things that you can buy now days that there really is no excuse for not having a place for everything and having everything in its place. Keeping the nursery organized will make everything so much easier on you and taking care of your new baby.

Start your nursery organization project with the diaper changing table. The changing table should have shelves underneath it, and you should have everything in place for changing your baby's diaper there. On these shelves, you may or may not want to use baskets to keep everything separate. However, you should be sure that everything that you need is in reach, because you should not leave your baby on the table without standing over him. Make sure that you have all of the following items in reach:

  • Diapers
  • Baby Wipes
  • Diaper Rash Cream
  • Baby Powder
  • Change of Clothes
  • Lotion

The next thing you will want to organize is your new baby's clothes. Decide what will be hung up in the closet, and what you will fold and put away in the dresser. Make sure that you have a system for dirty clothes as well in the nursery, as you will be seeing many of those. Be sure that you keep like things together in the closet and dresser, and that will make finding something particular that you are looking for so much easier on you.

While you are organizing everything in the nursery for your new little one, be sure that you make room for extras that you might not have thought of as well as things that you have not yet purchased. That way you will have extra space ready for all of the gifts and things that come with having a new baby.

Organizers are great for helping you get your baby's nursery organized. You will find them in all colors as well as sizes. They come in basket types, to plastic ones on wheels. Decide just what you need to organize and tackle one task at a time. That will help you to not feel so overwhelmed, and a good time to get this done is while you are nesting.

The large plastic tubs that have lids are wonderful for providing more storage solutions in your baby’s nursery. They also fit nicely under the baby bed.
