Nursery DecorNursery decor is often based on your likes and fond memories of great characters or special influences from your parents. If you loved Winnie the Pooh or other Disney characters, you will probably use them in your decor. This is true because you love the characters and you want your child to love them, too. Or, rather, you know that they will love them, too! Of course if you have fond memories of the beach, aquariums or the like, your nursery decor may relate to tropical fish, light houses or sand castles. Your favorite book characters like Peter Rabbit or Stuart Little can influence your nursery, too. Everything that evokes strong wonderful emotions in you is likely to be a candidate for your nursery decor. As you make your purchases and arrange furnishings in your nursery, keep in mind that your infant will eventually learn to crawl, stand and walk. Keep times like table runners short enough so that baby will not be able to pull on it and have everything on top of the surface drop down on baby's head! Even wall hangings, tapestries or curtains can cause injury if they aren't secured properly, so keep in mind that everything is within reach at some stage or your baby's life. Enjoy decorating your baby's nursery with everything that you love and you can't go wrong. Comforts like a rocking chair will help you soothe your newborn during feedings. The nursery is a haven for you and your baby. |
