Bassinets

Your newborn has many immediate needs because the entire time that your baby was growing, he was fed and taken care of without any requirements of him. This is why a bassinet is so convenient and important. After your hospital stay, you will still be recuperating from the delivery of your bundle of joy. A bassinet can be moved to your bedroom suite and that will save many steps.

The most important requirement of a bassinet that you should keep in mind are the weight maximums, as well as your baby's activity level. You do not want the bassinet to collapse under the weight of your baby. Also, a bassinet is not made to hold an active baby. If you have a premmie who still meets the weight requirements of the bassinet, but your premmie is rolling over or sitting up, a bassinet isn't going to be as safe as it should be.

Graduate your infant to a crib when he becomes active or meets the weight limits of the bassinet-which ever comes first. This will keep your newborn safe and sound, which means less worries for mommies and daddies.

Find the bassinet YOU want!
Nervous about online shopping? You shouldn't be.

•  Because bassinets are portable, check connections, especially on rocking bassinets to make sure that they are secure each time that you move them.

•  As with all baby sleeping furniture, keep your bassinet away from windows. Drafts are not good for your baby's health.

•  Follow the weight requirements for your bassinet to prevent an accidental fall.
