Mattresses
The mattress for your crib, bassinet or cradle should fit snuggly. Never use a mattress that is too small for your baby's bed because your baby could fall off of the mattress and become wedged between the mattress and the crib frame or bottom. Wipe the mattress with a gentle cleaner before you place it in the baby's bed. You can easily remove dust, small plastic shards or other materials that fell on the mattress during manufacturing or shipping of the mattress.
Memorize or carry the mattress size with you so that you know the right sized bedding to select for your baby's bed. Your baby will spend the greatest amount of time sleeping for the first months of her life. The more care you use when you select the mattress and bedding, the more comfortable your baby will be. You know how soothing a well made mattress is to your body, so you can provide your baby with the same by selecting quality made products for her bed.
