Crib BeddingYour crib bedding plans should provide for the safety and comfort of your newborn and it should be flexible enough to "grow" with your child. When you shop for crib bedding, you will notice that it will move right with your child into a toddler bed. The better the quality of the crib bedding that you purchase, the longer it will last. Avoid thick, fluffy comforters for the first six to eight months. Once your baby is able to move her head, suffocation becomes less of a threat, but until then, use snug fitting crib bedding. If you have purchased a fluffy comforter for your baby already, then use it as nursery decor or as a lap blanket when you are feeding your baby. There will come a day when you can use a fluffy comforter for your baby's bedding, but until it is safe, keep it draped over your rocker or use it like a tapestry on your baby's wall. |
