Crib Sheets& Bassinet Sheets

You will notice when you are shopping for baby bedding that there are only fitted sheets and there is a reason for this. Only use fitted sheets in your crib or bassinet because the greatest threat to your baby is the possibility of suffocation. The less bedding that you use initially the safer your baby will be. Thus, look for natural material content and superior quality when shopping for crib and bassinet sheets.

otton and wool are breathable and easily cleaned. Cotton will most likely be your material of choice for sheets and wool is more likely to be used in baby blankets. Once your baby can lift her head, you can generally relax the rule about bedding, but always keep in mind that too much of a good thing-like warm heavy comforters is not the best choice for your crib or bassinet. You will find that micro fleece and other materials will keep your baby warm and cozy and your fitted crib sheets will keep your baby safe during the first stages of her life.

•  Always buy fitted sheets for your crib or bassinet.

•  Use a standard mattress when possible so that you won't have difficulty finding sheets that fit your crib or bassinet.

•  Wash your sheets with gentle soap, so that your baby's sensitive skin won't be irritated.
