NurseryFixing up a nursery for your new baby will be so much fun. You will get to decorate it and choose the colors for it, as well as the furniture. Your new baby will love their new room, and will love spending time in it. Because you will be spending a lot of time in your baby's new room as well, you will want it to be a space that you will enjoy being in also. One of the most important things that will ease a new mother's mind when she is sleeping her baby in a nursery all alone is having a baby monitor. This way you can still have your peace and quiet retreat of a bedroom, and not feel guilty about your new little one sleeping all alone in his nursery. When you are fixing up the nursery for your baby, you will want to include a rocking chair so that you will have some where to sit in the room, as well as rock your baby to sleep. Be sure that you choose a comfortable one, so that you can also feed your new baby in it as well when he wakes up in the middle of the night. The color of the nursery that you choose should be a color that will be pleasing to the eye. Remember not to choose loud colors as you want it to soothe your baby, and not distract him. Finding a book on colors and what colors should be used for what rooms is not a bad idea. You will be able to choose a color that will help your baby sleep and sleep good, rather than one that might upset him. Consult your pediatrician about the type of bedding that should be used in the crib in the nursery. As some bedding is not the best for newborn baby's. You may also want to ask about things such as pillows and stuffed animals too, and find out just how safe they are. Another important thing that you will want to do is make sure that the nursery is totally baby proof. This needs to be a safe place for your baby, and you will feel better about him having his own room when you know just how safe it is. |
