Pacifiers & Clips

While there are some babies that never have to have a pacifier, the majority of them do. You will find that most new mother's keep a pacifier on hand, just to see if their new little one is going to need one. If your newborn does not need a pacifier, that is great. However, if he does, then you are in luck!

Pacifiers and clips that hold them to your baby's clothes are much cuter than they were so long ago. You can find just about any character on a pacifier that you are looking for, and they make them specifically for boys or girls.

For baby boys you will find sports pacifiers and matching clips, and for girls anything that is pink can be found as well. Pacifiers and clips can be purchased most anywhere that sells baby items.

The clips for the pacifiers are to clip one on end on the pacifier, and the other end onto your baby's clothes. The purpose for the clips is to keep the pacifier from hitting the floor or getting lost when your baby spits it out. This is a great way to keep your baby from getting germs that can be avoided.

If you are a new mother that has a baby that does like and take a pacifier, you want to have more than one. Pacifiers will get lost so easy, and you always need to be sure that you have a back up in the event that one gets lost.

Be sure that you wash your baby's pacifier frequently to prevent the spread of germs as well. Running hot soapy water over it will do the trick, and there are some that are made to go in the dishwasher.

As you can see, if you have a baby that takes a pacifier, you should have clips that will keep it from hitting the floor. There are so many different kinds of pacifiers and clips to choose from that you should have no problem matching each one of your baby's outfits if you chose to do so.

Here's what we recommend:

Avent Translucent Toddler Pacifier 6 - 18 Months

Pacifiers can help stop your little one from thumbsucking, especially if he or she is already placing their fist, finger, and/or thumbs in their mouth. Thumbsucking does lead to severe damage with your child's permanent teeth. Studies have shown pacifiers can help prevent SIDS. And using a clip can easily help keep that pacifier off the floor.
