Baby Boy Nursery

Creating a baby boy nursery for that new little boy in your life is such a fun time. You can make the nursery space a special one just for him, and personalize it with all of your favorite things about little boys. There are so many nursery themes and decorations to choose from that you might need a little help choosing just one, as you will love them all.

Baby boy nursery colors are usually blue, yellow, and green. There are so many themes that match these colors as well. Nursery themes can be anything from sport teams that you are a fan of, to cartoon characters that you just love. You can even use nursery rhyme characters as well, and just give it a special touch that you will love.

Adding an area rug to the nursery will give the room a warmer feel. It will also make a nice soft place for your baby to play in the floor with his toys as he grows. You should have no problem matching the rug to the theme and colors that you choose for the nursery, just be sure that you measure how much room you have for the rug, and buy the correct size.

Having a rocking chair in the nursery will give you somewhere to sit that is comfortable. That way if you choose to feed your baby in the nursery, you will have a nice place to do so. Be sure that the rocking chair you choose is a comfortable one, and you will be glad you did when you go to sit in it for the 2 AM feedings.

Having a book shelf in your baby boy nursery will add to the much needed storage space you are going to need, and will give you somewhere to store his book collection. You can also put other things on the book shelf in the baby's room such as a lamp on the very top, stuffed animals on the shelves, and toy bins if you like.

Including a lamp in the décor and furnishings of your baby boy nursery is a great idea. That way you can go in to peek at him sleeping, and not have to turn on the bright over head light that might disturb him. You will also need the lamp when you are reading him to sleep. So be sure that you place it in the room next to the rocking chair.

Adding pictures to the walls of your baby boy nursery will give him things to look at while he is in crib falling asleep or just waking up. Make sure that they are bright colored pictures, as those are the colors that a baby sees at first when they are still very little. Finding pictures to match the décor of the room should be a breeze. Have fun with them, and choose ones that you just love.
